Resume Tips!

1. Never put your age into your resume. Nothing that will state your birth, social security, or any information that may be capable of some taking your identity. Though some people ask for your address that may be alright in some cases.

2. Also use a format that can be easily read by those who are interviewing you. You don’t want them asking you what this or that means in your resume if it out of order. Use a font size of 10 to 12 for better neatness and make sure that your resume is not more than two pages.

3. Do not become a liar. If you have something outrageous just know that it might not help you unless you know what you are doing. Example: if you worked at some place and you just did faxing and telephone calls don’t say you were an assistant and you ran errands. Make sure not to go overbroad.

4. Use position description like including job titles, any qualifications, any knowledge, or skills that you have been put in and know how to handle.

5. When you say you’ve had a position, mention what kinds of things you did there. Did you clean, answer calls, assist someone etc. considering the type of work you have done. Any achievements that you found to be helpful.

6. Aside from the job that you did, include the area where you worked, someone that can confirm that you actually worked there for some proof.

7. Include the school you attended or are attending, your major and what you are striving for like the objective. Mention the kind of person you are and what you are looking for. Use internships, any volunteer work, list certifications and occupation affiliations. You can list any associations relevant to your employment.
