I am more of humanities person but I do have the science person in me. My major is psychology which is the study of the mind. It focuses on observation. While studying this major I ask What makes a person behave a certain way? Why are they so threatening? Why do they believe in such things? etc. It is also a combination of establishment as a separate science from physiology and philosophy. It is relevant to the assistance of nature vs. nurture. I believe that many people do believe in science now more than ever. It is not about one subject but many piled into an idea/ theory. Today psychologist utilize systematic methodologies to learn and depict conclusions about human thought and behavior.

Lingering/Class Work

When we worked in groups during the class, we got to talk about our lingering thoughts. We spoke of work and wanting to have a job after we each graduate. We knew that this was making us stress over employment and having benefits but then we started giving each other thoughts and advice and made each other felt a bit more at ease because though we have done research we still need to something to think about. After a few minutes we were started talking about what we were going to do for our finale on the last day of this CEP121 course. LIB200 Assignment #3

For my research paper I want to do something that I feel is an opener for many people. I am torn between two different ideas for this research paper. The first idea, being a close reading analysis. I enjoyed a glimpse of the World’s Fair and its technological portrayal of technology and suburbia. How people wanted to live the American dream of owning a house and a car. Also how people desperately needed work and the World’s Fair being like a business for those who needed employment after the war. I can also compare it to global warming and how it could have affect the world more than helping it. The second impression is the “Popular Science” which is research idea number four. LIB200 Assignment 5

The vision of a ‘perfect’ superhighway future in the 1939 World’s Fair was hype than reality as the fair created real problem with its vision of suburbia and cars. I agree with World’s Fair being more of propaganda to the American people. The World’s fair was to get people to become stable after the war. The vision was for anyone to have the American dream of owning their own home in the Suburbs and having a car. No one wanted a life of crime, hate, and to be underprivileged and that was the city life.
